What is different between the sky of today and before thousand years ago? Through the modernizing procedure of societies, for the air pollution and bright electric facilities, not to make the sky bright but to make it dark. For this reason, we can see only a few stars in the sky of the urban areas. Out of sight out mind. However, in real, still there are numerous stars in the heaven. The many stories of past were not remaining on the mind of today’s human-beings. Those forgotten stories are the myth of stars. I want to restore them in the minds of contemporary humans. 오늘날의 하늘과 수천년 전의 하늘은 무엇이 다른가? 현대사회의 근대화 과정에서 대기오염과 밝은 전기시설로 인해서 하늘은 밝아지는 것이 아니라 오히려 어두워졌다. 그래서 도시의 하늘에는 몇 개의 별 밖에 보이지 않는다. 보이지 않으면 멀어지는 것이다. 그러나 엄연히 존재하는 것이 우주이며 천상의 세계이다. 과거 선조들의 상상의 세계에 등장하였던 많은 전설적인 이야기들이 오늘의 사람들 마음 속에서 사라져버렸다. 그것은 바로 별에 관한 이야기들, 전설들에 관한 담론들이다. 나는 이것을 현대인들의 마음속에 다시 부활시키고 싶다. 태양계의 첫 번째 행성인 수성(Mercury: 로마신화에서 상업의 신을 상징)의 외형과 오베론과 티타니아(Obelon & Titania 셰익스피어의 한여름밤의 꿈 속의 마법의 왕과 여왕)의 재회장면이 합성되어 천상의 세계를 상징하는데, 평화와 사랑 번영 등을 찬미하는 작품이다.
