Life is beautiful.

 

To use stainless steel Mirror, I have exercised to create special art works in-between painting, sculpture and metal craft. Because it can be fantastic magic Mirror arts.

 I have tried to make small stages to insert thin relief style sculptures. Usually, I want to remake great moment of each stories from famous movies, literature: like Hamlet from William Shakespeare play. For big size, I plan three spaces to describe selected three main scenes from 5 Acts. But for small size arts, I make only a round or simple space....

 I want to show the emotional life of human-beings from birth, love, marriage, .....and death. Usually, the shapes of female nude, couples, magician are selected to show the humor, fantasy, love, hope, gladness, sadness and others....

<황금알을 낳는 거위 (25SH-1) > 

이 작품은 아름다운 여성의 복스러운 모습을 상징하는데, 마치 황금알을 낳는 거위처럼 매일 황금알을 낳는다. 하지만 그것을 잘 모르는 가족들은 여성의 희생을 몰라주고 구박한다. 이러한 핍박 속에서도 꿋꿋이 버티며 집안을 일으키는 모성애를 은유적으로 암시하고 있다. 작품의 제목은 이솝의 우화에서 차용한 것이며, 우아한 여성의 자태와 세속성을 교묘히 병합하는 기법을 사용하고 있다.

 <Description of the work The Goose That Laid Golden Eggs(25SH-1)>

This work symbolizes the blessed appearance of a beautiful woman, who lays golden eggs every day, like a goose that lays golden eggs. However, families who do not know the woman's sacrifice and mistreat her. It metaphorically alludes to maternal love that perseveres and builds a family despite such persecution. The title of the work is borrowed from Aesop's fable, and it uses a technique that cleverly merges the graceful appearance of a woman with worldliness.

<조블랙의 사랑> (Meet Joe Black)은 1998년 미국의 로맨틱 판타지 드라마 영화로, 마틴 브레스트가 감독하고 제작했으며 브래드 피트, 앤서니 홉킨스, 클레어 포를라니가 주연을 맡았다.

이 작품은  이 영화의 거의 마지막 장면 중의 하나를 포착하여 다시 구성한 이미지를 담고 있다. 여성은 오른손에 꽃을 남성은 역시 오른 손에 황금을 들고 있다.

Meet Joe Black is a 1998 American romantic fantasy drama film directed and produced by Martin Brest, starring Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, and Claire Forlani.

이 작품은 영화 Getaway(1972년 영화, 1994 리메이크)와 같은 치열한 삶의 한 장면을 그리고 있는데, 돈과 사랑 탐욕 질투 그리고 배신의 내용들이 하나로 함축된 장면으로 요약하고 있다.  그것은 시각적인 유머와 반전을 플롯화 하여 고차원적인 유머러스함을 강조한 새로운 미학을 바탕으로 한다.

 It is based on a new aesthetic that emphasizes high-level humor through visual humor and plot twists. This work depicts a scene of intense life like the Film Getaway(1972, 1994 remake), and summarizes the contents of money, love, greed, jealousy, and betrayal into one scene.

<Take Off time 작품에 대한 설명>

오랜 항해 끝에 살아서 귀가한 남편을 면도하는 여인의 모습을 표현한 작품으로, 서로 간의 애정과 신뢰를 확인하듯 애틋하고 아름다운 모습을 표현하고 있다. 사용한 재료는 약 5년간 자연 공간에서 부식한 철과 스테인리스 스티일을 동시에 사용하고, 여러 가지 굵기의 철사로 이미지 라인을 그려내어, 거의 영구적인 보존이 가능한 작품이다.

<Description of Take Off Time>

This work depicts a woman shaving her husband, who returned home alive after a long voyage, and expresses a sorrowful and beautiful appearance as if confirming mutual affection and trust. The materials used are iron and stainless steel that have been corroded in a natural space for about 5 years at the same time, and the image lines are drawn using wires of various thicknesses, making it a work that can be preserved almost permanently.
